* Original Ronnie James Dio crowd interaction
it's a shame that dehumanizer isn't getting deluxe treatment. but those
first 2 are certainly the best dio sabbath albums and we also have 30th
anniversary heaven and hell dvd to look forward to this year. what will
be on it isn't announced yet. second disc from this deluxe mob rules
album is live at hammersmith live album which was limited to
only 5000 copies in 2007 when it was released and if you're lucky you
could find it on ebay not under 200 dollars so it's great that it will
be released as a second disc of mob rules album cos that live album is
superb and it deserves to be available to everyone (it's probably the
best live sabbath album i've ever heard).

I can see my bank account taking a hit very soon.
Now who's going to be the first person to suggest that Queen do something similar? yep, me.

Love these guys, but I don´t think I´ll be hanging on the doors when they hit stores sadly, for two simple reasons:
No alternate verisons/demos.
No previously unreleased material.
Selling H&H and Mob Rules with just a live bonusdisc, ain´t gonna cut it for me, I´m afraid. Sorry Tony, I think I keep my premium Spotify account...

I was eagerly awaiting these, after the previous Sabbath deluxe editions... I'm just as big a Dio-era fan as I am an Ozzy-era fan.
But I was also disappointed to see the final tracklist... Nothing in there that I don't already have. The live disc with Mob Rules is the Hammersmith gig that was released as a limited pressing by Rhino some months ago. Pitty...
BTW: it is not Tony who is to blame for this! If it were up to Tony and/or Dio none of these Sabbath remasters and deluxe editions had or would be released at all. These albums belong to the recordcompany and they can do what they want with it without any of the band members' consent. Only the albums from Eternal Idol onwards are Tony's or the bands'. That's also why Dehumanizer isn't in there. Tony (and Ronnie as well for that matter) also hate releasing demo's and such 'because if it was not good enough for the album in those days, it is not worth hearing nowadays'. Hence why there were no bonus tracks for the recent re-releases of the albums from Volume 4 up to Never Say Die. For the first three albums - the masters belong to the record company - including everything that has been recorded but got cut off the album or alternate takes. All other material taken from the albums after Master of Reality, is in Tony Iommi's attick (or basement?)

Nooooooooooooo!!!!
It's like Black Sabbath Rare Live.
I have enough random live cuts of songs. Looks like that's all these are as well. Where are the rare tracks? I can go to YouTube and find eight or nine different live versions of the songs they're including... plus get video!!
The only saving grace will be if they package these as nice as the Beatles remasters. Nice rare photos, great booklet, custom graphic on the CD, etc. THAT is what I wish Queen would do.
Putting a bunch of random live cuts hardly expands the album. Do you hear me, QPL?
i think the best part about these remasters is the remastering job itself. i was on sabbath site and fans there said that last year's ozzy sabbath sanctuary remasters is the best sounding sabbath remasters, very close and true to the original vinyl sabbath albums. there is very little compression and no loudness wars so that is the same thing we can expect from these dio sabbath (sanctuary) remasters
this cd is due out in march - heaven and hell is one of my all-time favourite rock albums
i hope this isn't the final track listing....as that's majorly disappointing
there must've been loads of demos, outtakes and backing tracks available...and all they do is cobble together a collection of already widely-available live tracks......
are we sure that Greg Brooks and QPL were not involved in the compilation of this release?
