It seems that we have tapped into a vein of goodwill - with some 'zoners willing to contribute to a live fan-made Queen + Paul Rodgers project.
(The first of many I hope - but let's learn to crawl first).
I see this division of labour as four key stages.
Planning
Let's talk about what is out there and first decide on a hypothtical best set/disc scanario.
Would it be better to focus on solely one gig - or - a 'best of' (Live Killers) generic type set?
If it means that it is just a case of tweaking what V. has already produced - then so be it.
Contribution
Based on the goodwill of those who attended - live video and/or audio contributions can be forwarded to the production stage/committee.
Production
After the planning and contributions have been recieved - this can be forwarded to the prodution guys.
This could be for video and sound together - or as as seperated ventures.
Hi-def could be reduced to DVD quality - or DVD upscaled to HD (only so that the production has an even feel to it)
without the bouncing around of quality.
That would need to be a production decission.
Distribution
After everyone has agreed on a finalised product (with or without cover art) distributers could be used as bit-torrent seeders (or whatever).
Rather than moanzone, or just the negativity of this place being called to question - why not produce something positive?
(I know that it's easy for me to say - as I have nothing to contribute this time around - but if this was successful, who knows what the future could bring?)

Since my DVDs are quite popular here, I offer my "authoring services" if you want.
I will also check if I have any usable photos from Vienna '08

I can offer my Antwerp '08 'Time To Shine' recording.
Shot with a mini dv camcorder (standard def.) some filters and a monopod.

I really like this idea!
should it be one for each tour?

I guess the volume of the total set depends on the material that's being donated.

My recording of "The Blue Danube Waltz" from Vienna is available if anyone wants it.

V.

I recorded Las Palabras De Amor in Madrid with my digital photo cam from 2nd row at the end of the catwalk.
The audio should be overdubbed with a better recording, as in my video the audience (including me) goes crazy singing the words. But the shot is so close to Brian and Roger that it´s really worthy of giving it a chance.

I think the thing is let's do something easy and 'do-able' first.
So how about starting with the most recent tour 2008?
After a Generic (Live Killers) type collection - we can then move onto 2007?
BTW: This is not my thread or idea - anyone can contribute.
I am just throwing out some ideas for others to consider.
So it is really vital that every 'zoner' has a say - so please contribute to the discussion!

I'd love to help out, but I don't have any QPR stuff aside from what's been available here.
I sincerely hope this is one hell of a project.
Give me a ring when a similar project is done for 70s and 80s Queen.

I would like to see that!!!!

are some of the official dowloads regarded as "definitive" versions? I have them all (paid for) and I'll easily contribute them to this project unlesss it's considered official material. (grey zone, I admit)
I have some The Who dvds from 2002 where they have taken audience video recordings and dubbed them with official audio bootlegs, and the end result is quite something.

If enough queenzoners participate in this project you will see it!
There are actually 2 mini dv sources from this song and I can tell you the 2 source edit looks quit nice!

But it's not grey area at all. It should not be done or if it is done it shouldn't be shared here. But YouTube videos are okay :-D

V.
Didn't someone organize a multiple camera shoot at the Meadowlands (Arena) gig in New Jersey in October 2005?
