36th anniversary de luxe edition would have been an unexpected surprize.

much as i love Queen II, lately i find myself liking their follow-up albums even more so....especially
Led Zeppelin 3
and
Black Sabbath Vol 4

Queen2 blew me away on first listen, and still blows my mind to this day....The crtics had a field day ripping it though. A more polished version of 'see what a fool I been" should have been included, and loser in the end excluded from the album.

it's an excellent album for sure. but don't let your exploration of "Queen II" end there.....go listen to the tracks that never made it onto the album....
these gems ae all widely available: - the BBC session 4 - incl White Queen, (a breathtaking version of) Nevermore...and if you think MOTBQ rocks...wait til you hear the BBC version of this song.....you really wouldn't have thought they could produce this song so perfectly in a one-take situation....but they did ....by some ingenious means
...the studio version of Hangman is incredible and a google should get you more info on this...but if you want to find the "holy grail" from Queen II - then you may need to dig deep for more about the two "missing tracks" - surrender to the city and forever...these are the stuff of legend...

Outstanding album. March of the Black Queen is the prequel to Bohemian Rhapsody(and better in my opinion).

Sure right!....If black Queen was the popular one that was played all over the radio you would say Bo Rhap was better in IMO.
