Alex Chilton is dead

Alex Chilton, again :D

This one hit me hard. I love Alex's music [i]so[/i] much and have learned a great deal about songwriting from it. It's baffling to me that he isn't a household name and, in a just world, would be held in the same esteem as someone like John Lennon. He and Big Star were supposed to be playing SXSW tonight, but now the gig has turned into a tribute show. I wish I could be there to pay tribute to a hero.

thanks for the videos dan. big star are one of the few bands that havn´t made one song that i don´t like. gives me shiver even more now. and yes, mr, britt we can do a movie togeher.
