So you've recreated the proper promo video from the film itself?
Does it have the scenes with Freddie in it?

It's not a version I made.
Yes it has Freddie in it.

Rien, is this the video I made when I recreated morodors metropolis from the 2001 restored version? and you might want to check out your site, i'm getting a virus warning from it.
Wow, where did you get Metropolis in such a wonderful quality ?
I thought that the new german broadcast is the longest and the best, but it looks like sh*t compared to this :-)
And of course thanks for sharing.
And I have to agree, google claims there's a virus on your site.

You might be right. I got this on dvd from someone.
If this is the case and you don't want this clip to be shared in this way, I'll stop sharing.
My site had a warning a couple of days ago, my webhost told me so. I've replaced the corrupted files (my files on my own harddrive are clean) and it should be ok now.

on March 28th I saw the NEW almost COMPLETE version of Metropolis in the local cinema. That's the 2010 version and the best so far (because it's the most complete).
It was a stunning experience to see this movie on the big screen. During the 2,5 hours the movie lasts, a pianist played live the music that belongs to the movie. The original score that is, not the Moroder music.
About Google, doesn't it easily warn for a virus when it finds mp3 files on a site?
I had removed all mp3 files but today I placed some new ones though.

I actually downloaded the german broadcast (which is basically the old source combined with the Argentinian footage), but it looks much worse (probably because it's an divx of a TV broadcast :-) . I corrected the speed from 25fps to 20, but now I see I have to start again as soon as I find this excellent copy somewhere :-)

Ah not my one, this is the REDUX someone made it after mine, and I agree from what I’ve seen it is fantastic, they even went and rotoscoped sections like robot marias eyes to make them blue, which isn't in morodors version.
Was the version you saw on the 28th the version with the scenes they found and restored in 2008?
scenes of the thin man, 11811 partying and the gravestone of HALs giant head?

If this is the version I got, I must say it's stunning. It says you worked 2 years on it.
Amazing, my true compliments.
I saw it today, this colored version, for the first time (the movie that is, I knew the clip Love Kills of course) and I noticed that in the dvd menu one can choose for the movie with or without your comment. Behind both buttons I find the movie WITH the comment though. Is that the case?
I have no problem with that, I just noticed it.

The version I saw at the cinema a couple of days ago is the 2010 version with the 2008 material included.
Black and White, no sound.
I must say that version looked perfect with just some rediscovered takes that had a very bad lining through the images.
But they've restored and corrected it all in a perfect way.
the film you produced is amazing also, that's why I share the clip of Freddie as MPG only having renamed the VOB to MPG. Luckily the Love Kills clip was a single VOB.
On the internet I also found a download of that 2010 "completed" movie so I have that one also.
If that version comes to BluRay I will certainly buy it. I'm totally overwhelmed by this movie.
The details, the way of acting (there's no sound so it all comes down to acting), the masses of people, the looks of the Twenties (though the story is situated in 2027). It's unbelievable how they managed to create this in 1927.

The movie should be black and white, that's how it originally premiered, tinting the negative was pretty outdated by 1927 so for some reason fritz lang decided not to.
and the movie you have, It's not mine, but it is fantastic, it came after mine and is vastly superior, mine matches morodors colours, the one you have adds new rotoscoped colours to scenes.
Mine has 2 audio mixes, one from the LaSERdisc and one from the VIDEO. and there is no menu item to get to the notes because i never finished them.

Ok then. I must say this colored version is just great.
And a happy downloading to everyone, then :-)

I thought this was the definitive Moroder version?
