For those who seem to hold the view that Brian's hair is something that comes off at night, have a look at this picture of a quite gray-on-top Bri, out in the natural light.

Brian has needed a haircut for 15 years.

I just wish he'd let it go gray like Arlo Guthrie. I've never understood the hair dying thing.

Do you not think that one of the reasons he hasn't cut it is precisly because everyone keeps going on about it.  Kind of digging his heels in and doing the opposite of what some people keep telling him to do?  I can sympathise with such a situation.  You can think what you like about Brians hair but at the end of the day, would you like it if everyone kept on at you to change your hair?

No, but it kind of goes with the territory. On the other hand, that is why god created fingers.....................

I do sympathize with him a lot.

I guess most of you above belong to the younger group of Queen fans.
But getting fifty or sixty is totally different from what you expect when you are young.

The mind is still "young" but the body is no longer the same. So I can understand when people refuse to adopt an old man's look when it's not what they feel like on the inside.

I'm only 2 years younger than Brian. My hair is more gray than not. You are right that you still feel the same inside, but the body no longer works as well, hurts more and injures more easily, but once you are pushing 60 and things are becoming more wrinkly and sagging, then new paint on an old barn only accentuates it.

Plus dying hair  is one more thing to cope with as hair is not static, growing something like 1/2 inch a month I think. I would say that the fact that Brian got snapped with his hair unretouched is a sign that he has lots of irons in the fire and keeping up with the hair isn't as high a priority as others.

Whatever he does is his business. I just ran across the picture at Zimbio and thought it would clear up something that gets into conversation here every so often.

We anonymous are fortunate that we can take 15 pictures before we decide what we're going to throw up on our Facebook profile or whatever.  Celebs are not so fortunate, and it must be difficult sometimes to age publically with little control over what shows up in the media.  I'm sure the pressure to look good is signifcant.  Still, I think Brian is especially sensitive or vain. His habit of using 15 year old pictures in various places, most recently on his Save Me Facebook campaign, would be considered weird if I or anybody else did it.   He's always had a luminous smile and with age he's aquired great hooded eyes like Joe Elliott.  I think he should chop off all that hair, let his hair grey naturally, and let his face be the focus.  But really, I'm quite aware that it doesn't really matter what I or anybody else thinks.

Yes, I found the Facebook image interesting too, but supposed he was trying for the younger crowd, and wanted to fudge it a bit. I think he has had that image for so long that he is caught in it too.

Uh, that was me.  Sorry.  Can anybody spare any photo paper and/or candles?

i don't think it's a wig at all. BUT i do think in my opinion that he is thin on top and has it styled to cover his receding hairline.  Guys, leave him alone, it's his hair anyways isn't it? Who cares this way or that if he has a wig or thin hair, it's not what makes him the man he is and create some of the best music in history.
better sit back and go with the flow.

I didn't think so either, but some have assumed it. Just trying to settle the issue for once and for all, or at least until the thread has receded into history and a fresh crop of newbies comes along.
