I believe the first live Bohemian Rhapsody was Nov 14, 1975...but the there is no audience recording from that date, therefore the first performance we have is from the Nov 15th show: Here it is:

Very interesting. Unlike other songs that changed a bit over the years Bo Rap live always sounded the same more or less.
And this first performance isn't really different from what was to come later. On other live-songs from the early years like ..."Now I'm here" you can nearly recognize from what tour or year they come.

Yeah, pretty much from 1975-1979 he sang Bo Rhap fairly similar live, then by the Crazy Tour, he perfected it, by going for the Bb4s!

The drums sounds differently to me...

Maybe they sound a bit different. But for the most part, the song was the "straightest" (no rhythm fluctuations) during the Opera tour. It remained this way until 78 or 79 where he would delay a phrase or two like the "born at all". By 1981, the song had many rhythm fluctuations but still remained a live classic. Some of his best performances were then

Ya the whole concert is available around B- quality. The torrent is available somewhere around here. The only song I remastered was Bo Rhap though.

Sometime in the future, you should Re-master the concert--like I'm going to do with Inglewood 1980!
