WTF kind of alternate dimension was this video shot in? My Hungarian friend was just asking me what Freddie was drinking from a transparent can in the making of Scandal video. I'm like "you must mean a bottle" but finally he showed me (cuz I didn't remember it specifically)

First I thought it was like a silver diet Coke can, but you can see through the damn thing! Did they have some sort of freaky plastic clear 'cans' in the 80s in the UK or something?

It's a little known fact that sippy cup is an actual AIDS stage.

If its a cup or glass its a strange looking one with the way freddie was drinking out of it

...or perhaps we can agree that it was just most likely an unintentional visual trick caused by the camera's angle and the surrounding lighting?

It is a PVC can.. and yes they exist. Jumbo supermarkets here in Holland have been selling them for years. First time I saw this I saw the can as well and was interested... useless info, but what the heck.

Thanks Dane. I first thought it was just a drinking glass like these other folks, but the shape seemed too can-like :) If you could possibly think of a brand name or actual product which uses them, I would be grateful. I can't seem to find any pics online.

Well until i see some proof that those existed in 1988-1989 then i will stick to beleiving it is a glass of water. lol. There is a company in China that owns the patent of the PVC or plastic transparent pop can, but says that it is a new product of 2009?? These are for personal use, so i would have to see a brand on a pvc can back then, plus if it is made for personal use, it wouldn't really be a pop can now would it? lol

It's just a regular, metallic Coca-Cola Light can from the late '80s.

Actually guys it's a can of little recognised drink these days of Tab. Does anybody remember this drink? It was actually around about this time (1989) that they came out in the UK (think it had been a drink in America for a long time before that).
Anyway, I remember me and all my fellow friends talking about it cos it came in a clear see through can. It was basically marketed as see-through coke.

They weren't in a clear can, plus it wasn't introduced until 1992, and went bye bye in 1994. You can buy a clear Coke glass that is shaped like the can, so it's either just a glass, or a coke glass.

I still think it's a can or a reusable can-like container. He drinks out of it like it's a can rather than a glass if you look at the position of his head and neck. If it looks like a can and quacks like a can, it's probably a can.
