As promised here is the 1986 fan club message in FLAC, taken directly from my copy of the original cassette. This has been shared before on YouTube, but I think you'll find this copy to be much better quality.
"Hello, this is John Deacon here. Your listening to a recrding of my voice, not the real thing" :P

1) Thanks a lot for the share 2) It has a lot of hiss in the background, and runs too slow - I tried to correct these problems. Try this link and tell me what you think : http://rapidshare.com/files/380815794/A_Message_From_Queen__1986_Fan_Club_Message_remaster.flac 3) When was this recorded ? It took place BEFORE the tour, and John seems to know already that this is their last tour :-( Was he already thinking about his departure or did Freddie already know he's ill ?

totally second 1) , thanks a lot for sharing this!
2) very nice work Pittrek, thank you
3) I guess John's statement is more about their issues about ageing on a stage, and his desire to have some break with Queen... I think it's also around that time that Freddie stated that he wouldn't tour at some point "because it would be ridiculous"
