If Brian and Roger were to organize this and if it were to happen in the near future, who would you like to see performing?
None of the performers from the original concert from 1992 would be there, other than ofcourse Bri and Rog. And John, if he agrees.

Taylor Hawkins and the rest of the Foos would obviously be there. So would segments from Paul Rodgers and the cast of WWRY musical. I would like to see Katie Melua too. The American Idiot band (shit I just can't remember their name now!) would have to be there. Maybe the girls Brian has been associated with lately can all be there together for one of the easier-to-sing fun songs or two.
No AI or X factor people, not even Lambert.

So who else?

Edit: Ah yes,Greenday.

Sorry but it's not a good idea IMO. I think we don't need to watching some pop idols and wannabe stars when they celebrating King Mercury. Only one (and excellent) tribute is enough for me.

new freddie tribute concert could be good but it could be disaster as well. if new tribute was announced i would like to see some performers who have their own identity (like paul rodgers) and not freddie's copycats. i'd like for george michael to be there

Katy Perry
Britney Spears
Losers from American Idol
Shakira
Melanie C
Mika
Robbie Williams
Avril Lavigne
Boyzone (the four surviving members)
5ive

Those are the sort of people Dr May and his pet have been involved with in the last decade. And I'm sure they'll be glad to claim they were Freddie's favourite singers.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

Terrible idea. Hope Brian don't read this.

Maybe a series of small gigs rather than a big gig would be fitting to mark 20 years since Fred died. I think that would be worth doing. Another big gig would be a bit of a mistake I think

The most important thing one should ask oneself is "How well can person x sing Roger and Brian's songs?"

Which means I wouldn't be there!  :-)

C'mon guys its not THAT bad an idea. I think it is very much possible in the current times for Brian and Roger to organize such an event with guest vocals and still be totally respectful to Freddie and Queen's music. I do agree that with Brian being involved there is a very good chance that we will see a lot of the current bunch of crappy pop artists. But if they are careful, they can select worthy artists and make it a good show.
Bruce Dickinson,Rob Halford, Dream Theater, Greenday, Muse, Paul Rodgers, Cold play, Mika, Bon Jovi.,U2, Scorpions,McFly, Foo Fighters....with proper song selection this could be a good show.

The same bands as the last one.  I don't think these young artists of today really listen to Queen or anything remotely close.  Usually when an artist says "I'm inspired by X" doesn't necessarily mean that "X" is even in their ipod.

For instance, when Katie Perry says Freddie was her #1 inspiration, I then listen to her music and shake my head.   There's no Freddie in there!!!  And why is she even catering to these people?  Oh yeah, to sell records.

But could we call this next concert "Fredfest" ?

The first one was just fine for me, thanks.
