correct me if I'm wrong, but the Earl `s Court in 1977 has never been shown on television.
If this so, then from where appeared this bootleg?

They will never issued anything from the seventies. Not brave enough or too much love money.

I believe a couple of these early concerts were shown on a sort of 'Queen Television' at the holiday lodges at the annual Queen convention in the UK.

Some attending people just hooked up a VCR and recorded them.

Yeah, but it was out long before then.  The first VHS copies came out in the 90s.. maybe even earlier.

@ SIRGH :

Somewhere mid 90's there was a (semi) official announcement by the fanclub that several official live videos to be released on VHS.

At least the list included:
Milton Keynes
Earls Court
And some others...Can anyone back me up with this ?

And possible others... some how the idea was dropped... as many official releases were cancelled in the end.

I rememeber that I could order the 2cd set of the complete BBC sessions in my local record store.

Why was this idea shelved and disbanded at the end?

Reply: Earls court was never shown at conventions on QTV for viewing in the chalets.  It was only ever shown on main screens in the complex where it would have been impossible to hook up a VCR.

It was planned as an official video release in the late 80's early 90s. Richard Gray was even paid to design the cover.
The problems and reasons why are obvious though if you watch it!

The infamous microphone failed! But only one night, they have the two nights, i think they can do a mix of both nights, like Rock Montreal, or even overdub some songs, i really don't care have a official release of Earl's slighty overdubbed.

Sorry If my english is not the best!

We ONLY know the "Video Feed" Audio from this concert... Not is 100% sure that the microphone has failed...
An example of this is the Hyde park concert, an audience recording proved that the microphones has not failed in Bohemian rhapsody or in the Prophets delay...

This is very interesting! Hope some day we'll see the release of the both gigs. Thanks for the info!

In my opinion there is no possibility that any of the concerts released officially. Publishers are not likely took risks. Also, fans would probably have to express a strong wish to publisher for releasing this albums (Earles court and Hyde park 76). Not that we always offer the same things.
But we fans always buy the same things. Dont we have enough compilations on which are the same things. All that's different is the cover (Greatest hits, Absulute greatest). We fans are also to blame.
