Pretty obvious from the quality of the performed songs that they weren't "off the cuff" as Brian suggested on his website.

I think it's the result of using a digital zoom with an cellphone, My Nokia produces same "quality" videos when I use zoom

Something like this would virtually never be 'off the cuff' in the way that you describe, ie literally played for the first time on the night.
I would certainly still describe it as 'off the cuff' as Brian described if Taylor Hawkins contacted them, for example, a day or two before and said - 'hey, why don't you and Roger come and play on Tuesday night; pop down to soundcheck and we'll run through some tracks".
I don't think Brian is trying to deceive anyone, and it certainly didn't seem to be something overly rehearsed, judging by the soundcheck timing mistakes!!
