According to Billboard, Bill came in as last-minute replacement for Bowie on 'Cool Cat'. Does anybody know more about it? Has a demo survived? Is there any uncredited voice by Squier on the released version?
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.

What? Huh?  Is this possible?

Fred and Billy were buddies back at that time...  and now we all know why Squier wore that pink shirt.  I would not be surprised if this existed, just that no one here has heard of it before is shocking.

I've heard the Bowie version as part of the five-disc "The Vaults" bootleg set. You're not missing anything, trust me.

Whether or not we're not missing anything, the question at hand was, does anyone know anything about a potential unreleased version of 'Cool Cat' with Billy Squier featured instead of David Bowie?

OK, OK, so I misunderstood the question. No biggie.
