To many, the Miracle was regarded as one of Queen's best albums of the 1980s.
This is my opinion on the album.

Party - 5/10 - Not that great a song
Khashoggi's Ship - 10/10 - Excellent Song
The Miracle - 9/10 - Good
I Want it All - 9/10 - Good Song
Breakthru - 10/10 - Excellent
The Invisible Man - 9/10 - Fun Song
Rain Must Fall - 8/10 - Has a Good Feel about it
Scandal - 8/10 - Good
My Baby Does Me - 7/10 - Okay
Was it All Worth it - 10/10 - Excellent

What about 'Hang On In There', 'Chinese Torture' and (I don't know if your version has it), the Invisible Man 12'' version and Scandal the 12'' version?

With the exception of "I Want it All" and "Was It All Worth It" I think "The Miracle is one of the weakest albums Queen ever did in any decade.....

Strong album.  It sounds very optimistic and bright, which, believe it or not, I was never too thrilled about.

It is my favorite of the 80's  and is in my top five.

I am not to sure there many others who regard tM as best of the 80's material for Queen.

I think this album brought them together again more as a band. The albums before sounded more like collections of songs by four different writers. Was it just the decision to share royalties from that album onwards? Or was it the fact, that they knew Freddie's end was near?
We don't know and for me it's amazing how they could work at all on those final albums that still contained many brilliant songs.

Hmm for me a remastered version would be interesting to see how it sounds in 2010, I'll give it a listen & submit scores at a later time

I've never understood why so many fans dislike Party and Khashoggi's Ship.  To me they're the perfect openers to an album that might have benefited greatly from more songs like them.  The Miracle was said by the band to be an album that would rock the hell out of its audience -- it did, to a certain extent -- but to me those first two tracks demonstrated a band with a taste for seductive riffs and an absolute ability to rock with their tongues firmly in their cheeks (which, I argue was one of their best selling points throughout their career).  So, if you dare to call these tunes filler, so be it, but I am intrigued to hear your reasons for considering these two diamonds in the ruff, well, the ruff.

I couldn't agree more with you. Party is among the best Queen album openers.

Furthermore, I really like the album, but it's slightly more dull compared to my 80s favorite A Kind of Magic.

Party 10/10
Kashoggi's Ship 7/10
The Miracle 8/10
I Want It All 8/10
The Invisible Man 7/10
Breakthru 9/10
Rain Must Fall 7/10
Scandal 9/10
My Baby Does Me 4/10
Was It All Worth It 10/10

I don't consider the CD bonus tracks as part of the album, with the exception perhaps of Hang On In There, which would receive a 7/10.

I find it quite staggering that Queen fans would rate tracks on the Miracle so low 1/10 ,you are fucking joking surely !! I listened to it just yesterday in all its glory with the two 12 inch mixes at the end.The album flows brilliantly and when it finished i played it over again ! Mind you some of you guys never really moved on after Opera.I like it ,if you don't, Sod you!!!!
