Innuendo was a belated return to form after the grab-bag singles orientation of the 80's. It was the first album since Jazz to actually feel like an album - with a beginning, middle and end. It's not perfect, Headlong, the Hitman, All gods people and Delilah all grate for various reasons but elsewhere Queen's Rock and Pop sensibilities were firing on all cylinders.
The ridiculously wonderful title track is really the only time they have revisited the 'Rhapsody' formula and is alot of fun. 'Slightly Mad' is the band at it's 'tongue in cheek' vaudeville best. 'Bijou' is a marvelous song reversal with the voice taking the place of the solo and vice-versa. Together with 'The Show must go on' it's a genuinely moving coda to the album.

On a slightly more flippant note what is all this subjective 'mean' song rating nonsense. I couldn't give a monkey's if someone thinks a song is 9.4527 out of ten or something. Why don't you tell us how you feel about the song (or songs). Are you unable to articulate ? Are you not capable of prose ?

I think Innuendo is Queen's greatest album, but maybe because it's the last one before Freddie died.  When I became a Queen fan, I started with many different albums, but didn't buy Innuendo until towards the end of my collection.  It was an incredible listen.  I don't think the general public appreciates this album for the masterpiece it is, but real Queen fans do. It's very much Freddie saying "goodbye" to all of us.  When I get people into Queen, I'm always careful to make sure 'Innuendo' is the last album they get.  Then, they can truly appreciate it.

And Freddie, IMO, sounds the best he has ever sounded on this album.  From beginning to end.  I cannot wait to purchase the re-issue!!!

To me Innuendo is their second-best album. Only Queen II is better IMHO.

Innuendo - 10/10 - BoRhap, Black Queen, Innuendo. My top three Queen songs. It's diverse but still a whole - I could talk for hours about how much I love this song.
I'm Going Slightly Mad - 8/10 - A very creative and somewhat funny song.
Headlong - 8/10 - Nice rocker, but a bit standard. Great for cheering someone up though - just make them listen to Brian singing this song and they'll be rofl'ing within a minute. Seriously Brian, you just can't sing these kinds of songs.
I Can't Live With You - 9/10 - I don't get why some people hate this song. More Queen than most of their songs from the eighties.
Don't Try So Hard - 7/10 - The lyrics are good and the song is nice, but I don't like it as much as some of you seem to do.
Ride the Wild Wind - 10/10 - Maybe Queen's most underrated song. I just cannot describe how much I like it.
All God's People - 7/10 - Just like with DTSH. The idea is good, but I don't really like the song that came out of it. Thank God that Montserrat didn't rape it though.
These are the Days of Our Lives - 10/10 - If you don't like this song, you're crazy.
Delilah - 6/10 - Cute, but not really what I think of when someone says 'Queen'.
The Hitman - 8/10 - A good rocker, though a bit overrated. Has the same effect on me when Bri sings it as Headlong.
Bijou - 9/10 - Love it.
The Show Must Go On - 9/10 - Queen's most underrated and at the same time most overrated song. Should have been #1 for months, but it doesn't have that jizzy effect on me that many of you seem to get out of it.

Lost Oppurtunity - 7/10 - Emotional bluesy song. However, the time spent recording this should have been spent writing more stuff for Freddie to sing.
