Frédi Mercurrie was NOT gay!

Hello  everybody,

Being a very recent Beatle fan, and having collected all their bootlegs and albums and being very satisfied with the entire audio and visual and audiovisual material that has ever been released since their disband ( without mentioning the solo stuff, but this has nothing to do with the topic, so i will drop this), I would like to point out, on this forum, what great all round musicians and especialy, what a great band they were.
The 60's and early 70's were not an easy period for the Beatles to impose themselves as the BEST BEST BEST  BESTESTEST BESTESTESTEST MOST BESTESTESTESTESTESTESTESTEST BAND EVEEEEEEEEER , since they had to deal with a lot of competition ( with other bands like The Rolling Stones, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Beach Boys, Bob dylan, The Doors, The Mama's and the Papa's, The Who, The Yardbirds, Free, Cream, The Kinks, The Box Tops, The grateful dead, Jan and Dean, Iron Butterfly, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Monkeys, The Five Americans, 1984, Wreckage, The Reaction, Sour milk sea, Smile and the Hectics).
I think that Paul McCartney and John Lennon were the best Lead singer ( They only were the LEAD singers, so that doesn't mean they were the leaders of the band !) of those decades and were probably the best singers that have ever lived. We can also mention that they had a lot of influence on other future (less famous and flamboyant) singers as Bob Geldof or Freddy Mercurie, being it vocal influences or stage acts.
Being a very recent fan of alcoholic drinks (especially when I listen to Let It be... Naked), I wanted to figure out how to mix a vodka tonic by myself. As I didn't know how to mix these two exquisite drinks correctly together (proportion of each drink), I surfed on the internet to get the recipe, and ended accidently (I have absolutely no clue why and how) on a website dedicated to Freddy Mercurie and a later on a guy called Greg Brooks (the latter seems to be a very weird chap btw).
I have to confess that I got very charmed by Fredie Mercurie's website ( its design and content), and got more and more interested in him. As known by everyone on this planet, Frédy Mercuri was the lead singer of Wreckage, but it seems that he also contributed to another (much less known) band called Queen.
I got very pleased with the articles i read and plenty of videos i viewed, but I CANNOT understand the innuendoes around his sexuality. It seems that Frèdi Mercurrie was commonly seen as being gay, but I CANNOT agree with this.
Frédy Mercuri NEVER stated that he was gay, and had been with MANY MANY MANY women in his life ( as Mary Austin or the famous actress Barbara Valentin, he was even with that beautiful tenniswoman called Billie Jean King!!).
When I have a closer look at his stage acts, it is very evident that the man was very manly (look at live aid 1985).
In my opinion, the fact that he grew a moustache was only to provoke and to create a hype around his person.
As last evidence, i suggest all the people that keep doubting, to listen to two songs ( from that less know band called Queen, but if you're lucky you might be able to download those two songs on the pirate bay ) : Bohemian Rhapsody and ESPECIALLY Body language ( which is in my opinion his masterwork ).
I've written a lot now and I'm getting thirsty, time for another Vodka tonic.

I don't know who Frédi Mercurrie is, but Freddie Mercury (a.k.a. Farrokh Bulsara) was gay... not that I give a flying fig about that...

I guess that Gregoryvincke is Zebonka's reincarnation, trying to regain his once hilarious humour which has suffered from seriosity and shallowness lately.

Gregory, there's a guy called James Bond who might be able to help you with mixing those drinks right. He has a better expertise than Freddy Mercurry, who mostly concentrated on Champagne or more powdery things.

I know that we know absolutely nothing about Freddie Mercury personality. He could play with his image and make us to believe everything that he wanted!

"Oh, and yes, he was gay" - it's just a personal opinion. Noone of us was close to him and we don't know what was in his soul.

My personal opinion: he wasn't gay, natural or bisexual. He searched true love I think like all of us...and no matter who was that true love- man or a woman.

Everyone has its own Freddie in his head, but who was real Freddie Mercury - only he knew it..

Well I saw him in Copas (a gay club) in Earls Court, London in '85 or '86. Very happy, pissed and with a group of horny gay men. I don't think he was discussing the tits on the barmaid!

I think the poster should lay off the fucking booze!!! Billy Jean King "that beautiful tennis woman?" Have you really taken a look at her? And Freddie NOT gay? Dude, they were both gay! The list of guys he had sex with outnumbers the petite list of women he had. Austin and Valentin were the only women we know of where he had relationships with and maybe one girl from school. Read any article or interview with Mary and she clearly states Fred was gay. According to Peter Freestone Freddie did share the bed with Valentin many times but according to Peter that he wasn't sure if there was any sex. Had there been he said Freddie certainly wouldn't have kept quiet about it. Read his book sometime and you'll see that Freddie lived his life as a proud gay man and nailed anything that crossed his path.

I know plenty of gay men who slept with women before coming to terms with their sexuality. A person's sexual history alone does not define who they are. Mary Austin is the single most reliable source confirming he was gay. She specifically discusses it on the DVD documentary on the FM boxed set.

And really, who the hell cares? The man is dead and left us a legacy of amazing songs and music. A person's private life in none of my damn business and I feel shallow discussing it here, but I felt I needed to say my piece.
