Are there any pro video footage from 1980???

there should be more in local TV stations archive , but that is the job of the official researcher. He should email every single local TV station in the cities where Queen performed and ask for possible news footage.

One would expect a growing amount, instead we see completely vanishing video collections, with lots of items which were common 10 years ago, and now only a few are able to offer -high gen- copies . The last time I was excited about Queen was when Poitiers 79 appeared last year, and it came from someone getting low resolution mpeg review copies from the french tv, not an unearthed tape ...

We as a the queenzone community should take the initiative and become these so called researchers and obtain some unseen material from these TV studios in the cities where Queen has performed

Why don't you contribute something then?  I'm sure you have plenty of things that would be appreciated by the QZ flock.  Maybe an 8mm video from the 70s that hasn't quite leaked yet.. ?

I have just said i am wiling to put it up here on QZ a video that i unearthed from 1980 (even if its just seconds) - , and you start telling me to share '8mm' videos from the 70s.  I am not willing to start THAT debate.  

Right here is simple the deal:  As some of you know my main interest is videos. I am looking for Q+PR 2005-2008 Canadian TV interviews and appearances on DVD (and in DVD quality). I know there was a talent show, there was an interview on a TV (CME channel or something similar name??), etc.  All been widely broadcast in Canada, but still none of these were shared in proper DVD format (the talent show was highly compressed avi).    Send me on DVD  (or share here) this stuff, and I put up the news item from 1980 to QZ. So at least there is some 'new' stuff for me in it, and some enjoyment, and a growing collection. I know there are many more Canadian fans here, not only referring to SirGH with this .

I think you're talking about the gig from Munich in 1978, not 80. Also there are pro-shot concerts from 1984 too
What pro-shot 1984 footage is there? (apart from Brussels and Milan)
