I remember this as the greatest 17 minutes of Queen music that i have ever heard in my life.

One of the best performances that i have ever seen by my favourite group.

What do you remember about this momentous day
I never forget a face, but in your case i'll be glad to make an exception-Groucho Marx

I remember buying a load of c120 tapes and recording the whole show off the radio as I didnt have a video recorder back then but watched it all live on tv.From the moment Freddie stepped on stage it was obvious something special was going to happen and it did.Even now when I watch it the hairs on my neck stand up.I still find it amazing that altho freddie was a rather reclusive person,he looked like he was born to perform to the whole world.Considering they had less than 20minutes to perform, had no lighting effects and had hardly anytime to set up it must be the greatest performance of all time.

Sixteen years old.  Sitting on my living room floor with my friend.  My whole family (three siblings and my mom) was there, too.  When Freddie fired up the audience and got them all clapping to "Radio Ga Ga," it was a moment of vindication for me as a big Queen fan.  It was like, "SEE, this is what I've been talking about for the last five years!"

On a day when so many famous acts were struggling just to hold it together and not embarrass themselves, Queen was in total command.  They were fun, larger than life, EXHILARATING!!

As well as seeing a few great acts perform that day, there was some real dross. One particular piece of dross that springs to mind was Adam Ant. He came on, plugged his (then) new single, completely forgetting the real reason he was there, went off stage and disappeared up his own arse....

Oh yes, what a great day.
Quote from Freddies dad to his mother; ( after they'd finished their set) 'well, our son's only gone and done it'!
