I have been looking at various interviews Freddie gave and most of them he seems to be a little nervous especially during interviews on his own, if he was in a group interview then he generally did not say much but i was wondering what interviews of Freddie they really liked?

I especially like the one on the Gh2 the musical prostitute one, thats very funny interview and he talks about a lot of stuff and also the one where i think its in Holland im not sure, where he is talking about his solo album, where he says "the bigger the better"!!!

Listen to the David Wigg interviews on youtube.  He's very at ease there.

I suppose it's a forlorn hope that we will ever see the four hour filmed interview with Fred that was shot by Bob Harris and the OGWT.....

In 1977 - the OGWT accompanied the band on their 2nd leg of the US tour and "shot hundreds of hours of footage, including a four hour interview with Fred". This is in black and white - you may have seen short clips of it within certain video releases (can't remember off the top of my head - Fred and Bob are sitting chatting on a sofa together...). Not sure whether this particular interview was shot in the UK tho' before they went... I've also seen footage of an interview with Bob and John in the front seat of a Range Rover(?) - this again was part of the footage the Whistle Test shot. They might have accompanied the band on the first leg of the tour - don't know about that but do know that Bob was talking about going to Las Vegas with them. This was the only time they ever played there and that was definitely on the 2nd leg of that tour...

Yes Bob accompanied the band on the second US Tour in 1977. And the interviews with Bob Harris were done with all four band members - FM at home, RT at home, JD in the Range Rover (Driven by RT) and BM on the rehearsal stage.

And definately FM's most relaxed interview was with David Wigg in 1985.....great interview and very funny.

What's your source of information?  Not that I'm doubting you, but that's quite a hefty bit of footage, none of which has seen the light of day, even in documentaries.  If even 1/10 of this footage still exists, it'd be a horrible shame that it's collecting dust.

Those grainy b/w interviews with all four band members are seen in the Champions Of The World documentary.
