hope the US military have very big fans in their war-rooms as the shit that hits them is gonna be massive after these details were made public:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/datablog/2010/jul/26/wikileaks-afghanistan-ied-attacks

100's of civilians killed and their details covered up by the military over the last 6 years,no wonder the locals are more rebellious and un-willing to co-operate

100's of civilians?  I'm expecting tens of thousands.  There are over 91,000 documents that cover six years.  This may be one of the biggest leaks of classified documents in human history.  I'm grabbing my popcorn.  This is gonna be good.

You can compare this, in scale and origin, to the release of "The War of the Rebellion: a Compilation of the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies" in the course of the 1880s and 1890s, but all at once rather than in chronological portions and in a recent leak rather than a slightly aged government release. If historians, military men and politicians are still anything like they were back then (and they are), the polemics, arguments, 'scholarly disagreement' e.a. will drag on for years if not decades. The mere volume of this effort makes it breathtaking without even considering its content.

I am reasonably sure that this leak will make "Wikileaks" a greater historical term than "The Pentagon Papers". It looks like the 'judgement of history' Bush Jr. has been predicting has come early, not to mention with the wrong judgement...

You mean civilians are sometimes killed during wars?   That is terrible news.  Maybe we should stop all the fighting.

Hate to break the news, but this sometimes happens.  There were civilians killed at The Alamo.  There were civilians killed during The Crusades.  And can you believe Cain killed his brother Abel?  Horrible.  Where is the outrage now?  Someone needs to do something about this Cain guy.  It all started with that bastard.  Once we find him and Osama, things should cool down.

Oh, and just for you TQ:  Hitler killed a few people, too.  He was really a bad guy, sorry to disappoint you.  You may have to put his picture back above your picture of Bush on the Wall Of Hate.

You might also note that a lot more of these IEDs were found and disabled than the ones that exploded and killed people.  The Taliban did not disable those, we did.  If this technology existed years ago, I'm sure Britain and Russia would find similar tradjedies during their campaigns.
