What do u guys think of Thank God Its Christmas?

Was just listening to some Queen songs that i have not heard for a long time and TGIC is actually quite a beautiful song and the way Freddie sings it is really good

It's dreadful. It sounds like it was put together in half an hour, Fred's vocals are a mess, and of course Xmas records are almost always annoying and cheesy anyway. Ugh.

I think both you guy's are nuts!.....The songs not great, but how could anyone say Freddie's voice is a mess in this song?......

I just had a listen and Freddie sounds fine to me, the lyrics are great on that one

It's a lazy performance, perhaps intentionally so. Maybe he's tryin to "croon" a la Bing Crosby. On the verses he slides up and down the scale instead of hitting the notes cleanly. The chorus is better, maybe even good.

It's OK.  Not a classic, but considering it was 1984, it could be far far worse!
