"We really had a blast making that record it was a very creative time. I have to say that BRIAN & ROGER also played my songs brilliantly, they took “Feel Like Makin’ Love” to a new level, “All Right Now” was absolutely stunning I remember playing Hyde Park we tore the place up with that song.
I hope in retrospect that I did their music the justice its due and that’s were we’ve left it. We’re all still excellent friends and we’ll maybe do a charity show down the road together again.
QUEEN is like an exotic piece of machinery that needed a special part to run and I was honored & happy to do that. I have a tremendous amount of respect for FREDDIE, even more now then before I started with the Band if that’s even possible. Looking back it’s hard to believe we ended up touring & recording for over four years the time really flew by. As wonderful as the experience was touring & recording with QUEEN it’s really great to get back to my roots & my music."

Paul Rodgers is an absolute class act. Thanks for posting that.

paul and queen should record new album and tour again.

Well said...Paul has been nothing but class from the first off. He knew going into this venture that he would never be unconditionally loved by Queen fans, but he sang his heart out, and always displayed great humility and wit. I have nothing but respect for him.

Paul is the reason why I had the opportunity to see Brian and Roger in concert and hear all of those great Queen songs.
It wouldn't have happened without him.

Thanks for posting. I think these are the exact same words he used right after leaving the band. Are you sure this is not an old statement that the magazine used as new?
As for the point of discussion, I would LOVE Brian and Roger to play together again, with or without Paul or another singer. As for Paul, he did a very good job (as many others could have done, as well).
Cheers,

Those of you who follow these discussions closely will know I never was a big fan of the QPR project, but I must agree that Paul does have a lot of class. It mustn't have been easy for him stepping in these shoes, but his professionalism and the way he left it earned him a lot of kudos from me. Respect.

Just look at the long list of people Brian and Roger worked with between 1992 and 2004 - and Paul Rodgers was the only one who inspired them to tour again together. That has to speak volumes even to the most vehement nay-sayer.

too right of this, a band of good player that like one an other will sound better than a band of good players who dont get along, q+pr was good because of they are friends.

Yes, Paul used similiar words before, but this is from a recent interview, where he also talks about Bad Company and solo tour in the States (August 2010).

Paul Rodgers has proven repeatedly that not only is he a great singer, but a gentleman, and his touring with Brian and Roger made it possible for me to meet nice people like Ogre, whom I met in Las Vegas. : )

I liked seeing Q+PR live and I hope they'll tour together again. Moreover now I also like Bad Company songs!
