Hi Guys,  Have a listen to this,  It was labled as "Catfight For the Rest (Dancer Demo)"   Is this the Real Deal?

Is it Fake?  is it Real?   I dunno,  sounds abit like 'em.  any input would be great.

Some fan made this, probably the one who uploaded it to youtube. Brian doesn't play like that.

Just listen to the guitar solo, it's horrible - Brian wouldn't play something like this, and it doesn't sound like Brian's style

Yes, from youtube.

I think it is fake. It's highly unlikely some new guy turns ups with something we have never even heard of, and with no vocals to show us it is Queen.

I also agree that the band does not play like that. This has Lost Is Soul written all over it.

I don't know,  I'm sitting on the fence on this one.  I know what you're saying about Brian's style, just as I say to myself "Nah!!! not Queen"  something about the demo calls to me "Yes it is"     I'll wait for a few more people to comment before I decide.

As a composer, guitarist and producer and someone who has been studying Queens music and performing for about 10 years I can say that this, without a doubt, is a fake.

Even when you didn't study music there are simple ways to find out if it's fake or not:

- It was never mentioned by a high profile Queen collector
- It leaked out on Youtube
- It's bad quality *
- It doesn't sound like Queen **

* As far as I know (apart from convention stuff) all demo's in bad quality are fake, like those 'professional' fake demo's which appeared on a lot of bootlegs (for example: misfire, lazing on a sunday afternoon, you know them). The quality is kept low so it isn't obvious it's fake (yeah right!)

** You live, sleep and breathe Queen; you can pick Brian out of an all-star band with 10 guitarists; you KNOW when it's the guys playing. If you're not 100% sure, it's not them!

Taylor played the first solo. The last one is without a doubt Brian May.

Tell us where the recording came from.  Claims like these need some legitimacy or they will be rejected.

I don't believe it to be BM playing at all. There are no features of it that ring true. The sound.tone, vibrato, phrasing etc ...
I'd like to feel that I am quite familiar with Bri's playing. I've studied it for quite a few years and hope that I can hear his style. I'm familiar too with his gear and  stuff but that doesn't sound quite right.

Also at times it seems the bass is out of tune against the guitar...especially during the B pitched parts?

IMO - Fake!

If it was a rough take for a demo I doubt they'd take the time to make it perfect. How can you tell if it's not Queen? The audio's bloody awful.
