As I was about to turn right an hour ago, I saw a car filtering into the road that I wanted to cut across.  I judged that I could beat him and promptly accelerated my car.  At the moment that I stepped on the accelerator, I heard a scream which gave me a shock.  It turned out to be Roger screaming at the beginning of the song In The Lap Of The Gods.  What a scary coincidence !

rofl, im sure it was a terrible moment, but i just laughed out loud.  But before the last sentence, i felt v sympathetic and concerned!  lmao must have been some shock

It was a real shock - my heart beat very fast at that moment.  Because I kept the volume low to concentrate on driving, I did not hear the music at all, just the screaming.  Luckily it was just two lanes to cut across.

First day of school for my kid and the masses tomorrow, and as per usual I find myself unable to sleep.  it's the start of the busy and crazy season. Sigh.  I guess I better try since I need to be up in two hours.

house fire in the village on Saturday and the occupants where left with nothing but the clothes they stood in.People trying to organise some form of collection for them to help them out and some people are objecting and not donating because the person doing the collection took a couple of photos of the fire for the newspaper.
what did they want him to do,run into the blazing house and collect some toiletries or a pair of boxer shorts instead?
i dont get the mentallity of some people in this village,what happened to "community spirit"?
