does anybody has a good ear to tell me which note hits Freddie at 2:12. It sounds like a perfect pitch:)

Thanks Greg. You are great.
I just start to lear to play a piano so I don't have all the notes in my ear yet.
But I wonder if there is maybe any other live performance, where he goes over C5? (falsetto does not count)

There's lots of performances where Freddie has sung C5s and higher live (in full voice).
The Crazy Tour through to the Euro Hot Space is where most of them are, and there's a couple on the magic tour!

i like this version. maybe freddie didn't alway's hit the high notes in the 70's live, but he also didn't scream. I like his 70's voice.

Freddie's live tone was at its best in the 1970s, his live range was at its best from 1979-1982, and his live power was at its greatest during the mid-80s.
Boy, Freddie had so many eras of vocal stats, it's hard to pick a "favorite" or "best" (though I always say Crazy Tour)!

I agree.......power wise i thought the magic tour was his most powerful. His range that he had from 79 to 82 went down though. I guess i disagree with the people who say freddie had only 3 great years as a live singer. 79 to 82. those were his 3 best years overall, but he had great moments in the mid 70's, live aid of course and most of the magic tour. I like the fact his voice was different live than it was in the studio. Queen as a whole was a different animal on stage. I like that.

I'd say that the 1979-1982 era was his most "consistent" era. For the "best live vocals era," it's all personal preference: I get people who LOVE the Crazy Tour, I have people who prefer the Magic Tour, etc.

Thanks Greg.
I also watced your " The Great Crazy Debate" which is quit interesting.
Maybe I missed out, bit didn't find the best live "We are the champions". Which ist the best to yout opinion? Newcastle?
What do you think about this version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHgDJDDseWE = Queen-We Are The Champions-Live in Copenhagen 1978
Maybe not the best, but very close to studio version, specially at 2:35
