What Queen related books do you like?

I have not got all of them but i do especially like Freddie Mercury - his life in his own words, thats probably the nearest we will get to an autobiography

Peter Freestones book on Freddie is good and Brian Mays one by Laura Jackson

is there others out there that anybody would recommend as good reading material?

I like , also if it has got mistakes, Queen Live.

I think its worth to have it.

The author used to post here as "Lester Burnham". I believe he still posts on QOL under the same name

Classic Queen, by Mick Rock... Is worth the money IMO. Not lots of reading, but great pictures though...

As it began... is also worth reading...

i recently purchased Freddie Mercury the definitive biography by Lesley Ann Jones, its very in depth and im not sure i can believe a lot of the stuff said that is supposed to have been said by various people but there is a lot to read

With the lesley ann jones book there is a lot of stuff going on in that book and you get lots of iinformation about various things and from some of the things that Barbara Valentine and others say you get the impression that if Freddie hadnt got Aids there would no way that he would of "settled" down with Jim Hutton

Also if Barabra Valentine really did love Freddie she would of kept a lot of stuff private rather than blurting it all out in a book

Ii think its quite possibly the worst freddie book out there

How so? I love this book. As it happens, it's the only Freddie book I own, so I can't compare it to the others, but IMO it's a fascinating read. Do you have any other objections beyond Barabra Valentine's talking about her and Freddie's relationship?

I will admit the book is very heavily researched and there is a lot of stuff about Freddie's private life and what he got upto but i think sometimes some things are best left private, not that it stops me admiring the man for what he acheived in life
