I remember when I first saw the video called "Super Greg" by Sasha I thought he looked alot like Freddie (minus the unibrow) . I read Johnny Depp was interested in the part. Even though I'm a big fan of Depp, I feel Sasha is the better choice. here's the vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8wrIgbiCgs

Are they doing an extended version of “Saturday Night Live” parody sketch? ..because, this is the only setting Cohen can be considered somewhat adequate to portray Freddie.

What a shame?!
Nothing really matters in the end.

I think it is awesome to have a movie about Freddie! I think Sacha will do a great job on it. Beside looking a bit like Freddie, I think that he is a strong actor. He obviously is a great character actor. I wonder what he is like in real life. If you read this Sacha, please have the utmost respect for this part. Freddie was loved my many, many people. He changed everything musically for me as a kid. After burning holes in my Night at The Opera 8 track, everything I listened to after that was totally different than anything before. Except for Elton John maybe. This has my blessing.

The movie is about "Queen", not just Freddie.  I love Freddie with all my heart as a person, man and entertainer and have read as many books about him as I could find.  I have cried (not literally) through several of the revelations about his pain and  troubles - and been equally  uplifted by his triumphs and successes - both personal and professional.  If you need to know more about Freddie than the movie portrays, by the books.

Brian, Roger and John shared in the Queen story - each bringing their unique talents and personalities to make Queen what it was and is.  The interactions of these Four intelligent gentlemen during their  twenties and thirties as (in my opinion) The Greatest  Band Ever, will and can make a great movie.  I hope it lives up to their expectations.

Can't wait to see it.  Sacha is a good choice - but how tall is the actor playing Brian going to be - my god, I think Sacha is 6'4""
