One song can never represent an entire band. I think the best cross-section of Queen is presented in the 1978-1982 period tours. If I had to choose a single concert, I would go with Hammersmith Odeon, December 26 1979, because IMHO it is the best compromise between setlist, performance and audio-visual quality available.

The South America concerts were incredible. Large audiences, great venues and killer performances.

Queenfreak1234: I found it on youtube a couple months ago. I believe it was from the absolute greatest concert collection that queen released along with the album. Ya i know it looks amazing!! I hope one day we see the rest of that concert in that quality and maybe an official release!

AT first I also thought it was from the AG bonus videos but if you see this Don't Stop Me Now from the same concert and uploader which was not in the AG bonus video, you can see that it is also in very good quality:
White Man. Earl's Court '77 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CUKOA_wgzk
Let Me Entertain You. Rock Montreal '82 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0t3_Aim-Wo
That's all that comes to my mind right now.

tcc: Yes that's because that is from another source which is also in high quality (notice that the quality isnt quite as good as now im here). We have I'm In Love With My Car, parts of Don't Stop Me Now, Now I'm Here, and Crazy Little Thing Called Love in high quality from that concert however they come from different sources

whatever the crazy tour at Hammersmith Odeon 1979 is a very good example, and any interpretración this concert gives interpretración thousand kicks to any other concert.

Favourite performance is a hard one. Most live clips from 77 - 82 stand out.....such as::
The Millionaire Waltz - Houston 77 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh7hwAo8L68&feature=related Doing All Right - Earls Court 75 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PtCsGk9pGg If you can't beat them - Paris 79 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7-upFpwM9A&feature=related Let Me Entertain You - Munich 79 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsVtSkvUWww

That concert (Hammy 79) is whether or if being released on DVD. Why are so foolish not to launch?,: S
Look at this version of bohemian rhapsody eg

As I've stated here before, Greg Brooks offered the following explanation: they have the full video and a *stereo* audio-track to go with that. There was a multitrack of the audio, but they can't find it. It might have been stolen, it might have been lost. They are trying (though admittedly not very hard) to find it, but are unwilling to release this concert while they still have other concerts to which they *do* have multitrack audio available.
I don't know how up-to-date this is (the information was given to me in an e-mail in late 2008), and I don't know how accurate this is, but it is the closest thing to an official statement there is, for now.
If, by any chance, someone here is familiar with a multitrack of Hammersmith '79, more information is welcome.
