When Was The Video For Headlong Shot?

I don't know why Freddie looks the way he does, but my guess is he had good days and bad days. Maybe...

or maybe different make up or spot light. such things can change a look-a-like a lot.

Here's what's stumping me:

The blue shirt footage is definitely from 11/23/1990 (I saw the date during the making of Headlong), yet he looks healthier and not as "dead" in the face--compared with the yellow sweater footage.

I almost want to say that the yellow sweater was filmed a bit later, but then that contradicts RhyeKing's detective work.

I think the majority of the shots were taken before Freddie passed.

in a rockline interview around the time of the US release of Innuendo, brian and roger said freddie was back in london working on a video. (and I think he mentiones "headlong"). of course, it could simply mean he (fred) was overseeing the editing. or, also likely, it might be a lie to explain why fred wasn't doing interviews

Actually, a minor correction to my earlier assessment (and more concrete detail).

The EPK DOES have the date of 01/01/91 (January 1st, 1991)

So, as noted earlier, the yellow shirt footage was filmed no later than that date. However, in order to have time to shot the "Headlong" and EPK footage and then edit both together (finishing [mostly or entirely] "Headlong" first then putting that editted footage into the EPK) the shooting must have been end of Nov, possibly into very early Dec.  

It now appears absolutely impossible for any of the "Headlong" video to have been shot in February or April, 1991.

(Why I didn't see this date before: this white on black card goes by quickly [6 seconds] and the date is small above the gigantic DoRo logo. Plus, to the left of this is a giant clock graphic counting in. So, yeah, I just missed it the first time I watched it)

Ah, but can we trust any dates that DoRo put on anything?!!  :-)

They have no reason to lie. This information comes from a release not intended for public consumption, but as an internal record of this release. There's no reason not to trust it. This is a piece of information from the period, with specific detail, made for a specific purpose, which it carries out accurately. This is especially true when compared to other details previously discussed.

I guessed you were joking, but someone else reading may think there's reason for doubt. I didn't want to add to the confusion.

I have to say, for a detail I never gave any real thought to ("When was the video for Headlong shot?"), I've had a lot of fun 'investigating' it. I also enjoy discovering a point of "conventional wisdom" that turns out to be blantantly wrong, in this case the widely quoted Febraury and April dates.

The video was originally filmed Headlong in November 1990, and some scenes in December 1990 and Freddie had a yellow sweater in April 1991 by Brian May, but he also said that the video shot in January 1991

STOP SPREADING FALSE INFO, PLEASE! The single and video for "Headlong" were out WELL before April 1991, and you are a bloody liar
