I've heard "Staying Power" play on the radio at least once by where I live![/QUOTE]
Damn, and I even live near you.

Maybe I just need to listen to the radio a little more often.

Well I requested the song, and the station actually had the song available (which completely took me by surprise)!

German radio stations love

Radio GaGa
I want to break free
a Kind of magic

The biggest shock was to hear Man on the Prowl once.

"If I were to hear Radio Ga Ga on the radio here in America, i would fall out of my chair in disbelief and then call the radio station to THANK THEM! It's a criminally ignored song here in the States...and one of Queen's best IMO."

Another vote for this.

And it was actually Top 20 here.

Huh, interesting.

I'm probably going to start requesting obscure Queen songs and see if a local rock station has it. I'd die in happiness if I got something like Ogre Battle or Great King Rat played on a radio station.

It's gotta be "Yeah" (MIH Track 12). I hear it all the time. Countless covers, mixes and samples by most artists on the radio.

Whoa. Back up. You mean QUEEN songs get played on the radio?! Wow. Can someone please direct me to the stations in Britain that do this? And no, I'm not being funny. Seriously, I've heard their songs on the radio on only 7 ocassions in the time I've been a Queen fan, which has been for five years. Bo Rhap twice, then TSMGO, Magic, Hammer to Fall, One Vision, and maybe DSMN once. That's it.

Hmmm. It is interesting to see how it's risen to much greater popularity in recent years. I don't think it's been ruined by that though - either way, it wasn't one of their most inspired songs to begin with...

Without doubt the most popular Queen song on british commercial radio is I Want to Break Free. Its on all the time. Which is a shame as its one of the worst singles.

True. It was played to death, seemingly everywhere, during my Uni years 10 years ago. I used to love as a kid but grew to be annoyed by it when it used to whip cretins into a frenzy.

I much prefer Queen's album tracks (for the most part), probably because a lot of singles were/are over played.
