I know that Queen played there for 2 days - July 11th and July 12th.
The Queen Live at Wembley DVD only contains recordings on July 12th and not the 11th.
However, as I was browsing YouTube, I came across a video of We Will Rock You + We are the Champions that was recorded on the 11th.
here is said video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBUJztI884M
Anyway, I was wondering if they have released these recordings/videos? If so, where may I be able to obtain them?
Thanks in advance!

The recorded portion is on the official Live at Wembley Stadium DVD.

Hi!

That Youtube video is from 1985, not '86. That performance from the world famous Live Aid set. The Official DVD release contains few songs from july 11,but not includes We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions!

Regards,
A, the third.

Only 3 songs, if I remember correctly, were recorded from July 11th, basically as a dress rehearsal for the cameramen and director. I'm glad they put them on the DVD and CD re-issue.

Songs of the Friday night show on the second DVD:
A Kind of Magic
Bites The Dust
Tutti Frutti
Crazy Little Thing
God Save The Queen

All tracks are great!  Very nice to watch how much fun Freddie had during Crazy Little Thing :-))

Okay got you guys.
Am relatively new to Queen so I thought Live Aid and Live at Wembley were the same thing.
Anyway, I found the DVD (Rock in Montreal + Live Aid).
Thanks for the feedback!

It says on the DVD that the 4 songs were filmed as a dress rehearsal, but Queen Productions aren't exactly notorious for telling the whole truth.  It's highly unlikely that dozens of cameras weren't rolling for the entire show.

In fact, the entire first night was apparently shown at a fan club convention this year.

About the complete first night shown on the convention: this was an error! The fan who reported this is a long time video fan who (like many of us) knows every second of the old Wembley 86 VHS edit but happened to glance at a part of the DVD that is not included in the old video and therefore he did not recognise that he was looking at the second night. It was a simple error.

However, they did play the entire "John Deacon -  Man In The Shadow" album.
I do not want any google ads here.
