just out of interest, at the begining of innuendo, who is it who says the "one, two, three, four"

Yes, you must be interested because you asked about it in another thread.

Someone with 447 posts doesn't know who counts Innuendo in? It baffles me if some people have actually heard a Queen record

That's definitely Freddie... i had that strange quirk of having not grown up with them posted all over the spate... One time (i was like 10) i was wondering who that was on the Headlong single cover... (duh, Freddie)
His voice did change a bit in the last years... from the husk of the mid 80's to a thinner voice... just slightly... so maybe that's the reason for the confusion?
otherwise... the guys seem to have distinctive voices... any fan will probably be able to tell you all that... though they no longer sang their own songs in the latter years...
...i.e. Brian in "long away", "someday one day" "sail away sweet sister" Roger: "I'm in Love With My car" etc... the exception being "Hijack My Heart"
John.... ... he sang triangle ;)

I always thought it was Brian...maybe I didn't listen closely enough?

Nah, it's Freddie. Brian's got a much higher speaking timbre.

I'm pretty sure that bit was used for the beginning of Let Me Live. If so, it'll give you a "cleaner" (no drums) version to better identify Freddie.

-> What does the number of post have to do with knowledge?

I think it's mostly Brian's very nasal pronunciation that gives away his speaking-voice compared to Freddie on recordings.

Ohh that is no other than Freddie himself :)
Great song, just a shame outside the Queen world if your not a fan no-one seems to remember it "/ It one of their best without a doubt Love it :)

well, here in America it is virtually unknown(outside the fan base of course). It is easily on par with many of the '70's epics...such gravity and heavy gravity...absolutely popped out of my skin when I brought the album home on the day of release and heard this track.
I was literally jumping up and down screaming YES! Queen is back!

Oh...and THE VOICE!...It was like the "oldFreddie" was back! YAAAY! I immediately surmised that he must've stopped smoking! LOL
Loved the atmospheric keyboards, too. It totally fit the powerful, sophisticated looking "blue lit" picture of the band on the iner sleeve.
It instantly signified that they were going back to their "album rock" roots, instead of their "aiming for hit singles" stage of the '80's.
