Hi, folks!

I watched very first version of Montreal 1981 on my Ukrainian TV two years ago.

Now I'm looking for it because it's very rare...

This old version misses a few songs and all songs after TYMD are cut.

So where can I find it?

You can also try second-hand stores or flea markets, but ebay seems to be your best bet.

Of course some of the information in the listings is wrong, but as far as I know this is the original VHS version.  But they say the release dates are 1986 and 1988 (even though they have the same cover).  I thought the original VHS release was in 1984, and the next version was the 90-minute one released in 1992.  So maybe there are more versions?  Does anyone know for sure?

I have a DVD called "We Will Rock You", and I'm pretty sure it's from Montreal 1981. I'm not at home right now, so I can't compare it to the official DVD, but I think it's shorter...?

I have a version from '89 according to the sleve.

Also was there ever different mixes of WWRY? I remember a version my friend had where the guitar seemed far higher in the mix, especially on WWRY fast, and LMEY.

I think there are two versions of the "We Will Rock You" DVD, with two different covers. I have only watched one of them, so I don't know if the sound quality are any different...

I have two different VHS versions.

One is 90 minutes, the other 60.  Released the same year.

I have a BETAMAX tape of We Will Rock You. It's presented by Mobilevision & Yellowbill. Releasedate : 1984. Runningtime: 1 hr 30 mins. I can't play it anymore since I don't have a betamax vcr. But I believe it was recorded in Montreal. Directed by Saul Swimmer Queen Films Ltd. 1982.

I found my VHS tape (90 mins) as well. It's the same as the Betamax. The VHS has a black sleeve and the Beta a red sleeve. Layout a bit different but mostly the same.

There is one DVD from (I think) 1999 released by Pioneer and/or Mobilevision that has the blueish cover with Freddie's silhouette in black and says "Commemorative Release". This exact edition is also available in VHS and includes Jailhouse Rock but no Flash/The Hero.

Then there is the 2001 release with the band cover that has Freddie playing guitar and has John Photoshopped into it.

The last one, of course, is the Queen Rock Montreal DVD/BluRay/HD-DVD release.
