Ok, Magic tour experts... which show is this pic from?
Taken by Denis O'Regan, their official photographer from 77-86.. he has some pretty excellent pics on his website.

I'm guessing Wembley.

I don't think Freddie ever wore both the red and yellow jackets at the same show. Did other stadiums on the tour look similar to Wembley?

Don't think so : stadium lights are differents and the stage is smaller. Looks more like Manchester.

Freddie wears The Red/White Jacket on Now I'm Here at Wembley

could be Cologne, Müngersdorfer Stadion. The other Stadiums on the U.K. tour where not "fully closed" with the ranks.

Nope, it's the white jacket at Wembley. This is a different jacket with red stripes. He also wore it in Slane and Budapest.

Yes, but many of his dates are wrong.. most likely including this one.
So I think our best bet is to identify the venue.

I’d say it was from Cologne aswell. Freddie’s wearing that yellow design coloured top instead of the Betty Boop one, like in the other photos of Cologne.

Good call on Cologne. The stadium does look the same, and Roger wore that shirt in the acoustic set. I think we have a winner. Thanks everyone for your input.

Love Denis O Regan's Queen work, some great images over a long period of time.
He will be a guest at next years U.K convention, signing prints, would love to get one or two, might go... He also has a book Queen Alive in preproduction, if anyone spots any more errors let him know, I'm sure he would welcome any help.

Yeah, it's not Wembley, that's for sure. The catwalk is a shorter than the one used at Wembley.

Things like Paris 80, when Freddie doesn't have a moustache, so it's clearly 79. In my opinion, if he's the one creating the book, he should know what the dates are. Why would anyone write a book when they don't have their facts straight? Is this practice more common than I think it is?

I think its the second part of the tour, Manchester or Koln.
You can understand it for the t shirt of Freddie..it s the same that he used in Knebworth and Budapest...
I never saw this picture before.
It s great!

I don't think it's Cologne. The stadium there had those weird floodlights on top of the stands that would have been in shot from that angle surely?
