Agreed.  It's far better than Wembley in just about every respect.

My favorite Magic Tour-concert, easily.
Not Plutus but Apollo rules Parnassus

And this gig has a non-comum duet, with Fish (Marillion´s lead singer at that time).

What really impresses me about Mannheim (apart from the orgasmic sound quality), is Freddie's vocal performances: His voice isn't quite as fresh as it was during the earlier gigs (Stockholm through 3rd Leiden), but he more than makes up for it with two things: RAW chest power (probably one of his most "vocally powerful" gigs), and brilliant note interpretations. There's this one part on "A Kind Of Magic" (the doors of time), and he embellishes lower notes with HIGHER notes, to make up for not singing it like the record (not hitting the B4 on "time").

That's one of the reasons why Mannheim is a favorite gig of mine (Magic Tour, and overall), and why I prefer Magic Freddie over Works Freddie.
