better late than never i suppose but ive never really understood about a posthomous pardon for something as trivial as this.Thats a lot of tax-payers money spent on someone who didnt really give a crap about it in the first place.
Be a different story if he had been wrongly sentenced of murder of course
isnt innuendo an italian suppository? im gonna ride the wild wind! its_a_hard_life wrote:you nutcase you rule! joxer replies: but in a nice way :-]

Maybe it's my inner counterculture git speaking, but I'd kind of prefer to see all charges and specifications upgraded...  it's not like they can arrest him again.

Yes, but we can't give him the "Lethal Injection"... AGAIN.  That would be Double Jeopardy.

(Thank you, very much!  Next?)

I completely agree. I'm a big fan of The Doors, and Jim Morrison remains one of the few artists I would have given anything to see live. BUT I don't want him to be pardoned. This news doesn't please me as by pardoning him, he will be accepted by the Establishment. I do not want him to be accepted by the Establishment.

Just as Daltrey was right when he hoped that he would die before he got old, I like rockstars who trash hotel rooms, throw wild parties, sleep with multiple women (or men), get into trouble (not too much trouble) with the law and are rebels. Yes, this may be an old-fashioned view, and some might say that time has moved on since the 70's, but I still think that Chris Martin, for example, is a pathetic excuse for a rock star. Yes, he's soft-rock, but has the guy ever so much as been arrested for jay-walking? No, I don't want Morrison to be pardoned; let him remain infamous and an example of what a great rock star should be like! :D :D :D
