Here are some snippets of my recording from last night, including Brian's Fading memory gaffs.

Please note that I have degraded the snippets to mp3.
if anyone is interested in trading for the full concert in Lossless I have the full gig. [/QUOTE]
Would you mind getting in contact with me about trading for this? I'd rather not put my contact info out publicly, so would you try PM'ing me here first?

Tom Chaplin seems a bit full of himself, ive heard him sing and whilst he is an ok singer he is nowhere near as powerful as Freddie was so i dont know why he seems to think his voice is in the same register as Freddies!!!

Judging by this performance, I'd have to say he's got the pipes to back up that kind of claim.

Tom Chaplin has a great voice. He shines on Keane's first album but on the follow ups he is more worried about channeling Bono or Brandon Flowers (from The Killers) when he sings.
He does have a high register and can certainly sing any Queen song with that voice. He doesn't sound like Freddie - duh - he manages to hit the same notes but his voice is different.
Keane puts on a great show and Tom really makes an effort to be a frontman - in a chubby-awkward kinda way (he has lost weight, tough). I waw them live in 2008 and they rocked big time! Their live rendition of Under Pressure set the house on fire, with people jumping up and down with the finale (the "Give love, give love" bit).
They have also gone on record saying their wildest shows have been in Monterrey, Mexico. They certainly have a following here.
About a Q+TCh tour, I think the Q+ bit should be put to rest or they risk becoming a joke.
Another wild idea: Queen + Keane tour with Tom Chaplin singing some songs with the guys and have Brian and Roger take care of the rest... While we're dreaming, let's add Rufus to the mix so Roger can sing TATDOOL and Ga Ga without that horrible backing track!

I was ready to turn it off before it even started (simply because I have a lousy attention span) but hearing the line "with a broken heeeaaaaaaarrt" at the end of the intro was rather spooky. Doesn't sound like Freddie, but it was just masterfully executed. Great performance.
