Don Kirshner's Rock Concert ran on ABC in USA from 1973-1981. The format was usually to have performers come on and do a live set, sometimes, rarely, promo video's would be shown.
I have a copy of season 04 episode 20, broadcast on 8th of February 1977. It featured the Hyde Park promo for Sweet Lady and the video for STL.
Performers: Van McCoy, the Brass Construction, Queen, and comics Johnny Dark and Al Alan Peterson. Songs include "The Hustle," "Party," "Night Walk," "African Symphony," "To Each His Own," "Soul Cha Cha" (Van McCoy); "Changin'," "Ha Cha Cha" (Brass Construction); "Sweet Lady" and "Somebody to Love" (Queen).
Queen also appeared on this show in 1976 with the Bo-Rap flames version, an episode which also featured Ike & Tina Turner. Season 03 episode 24.
Performers: Ike & Tina Turner ("Oh My My," "Sexy Ida"); C.W. McCall ("Convoy," "Green River," "Classified"); Queen ("Bohemian Rhapsody"); and Lisa Hartman ("Pickin' Up the Pieces").
