Garden Lodge video

I'm looking for the video clip from Garden Lodge that was filmed from the minstrel's gallery looking down into the drawing room.  I saw it once and haven't seen it since.  Thanks.

I think this is something no one in the public should see actually.

Actually, it was pretty funny - a bunch of raving poofters all fawning around Freddie trying to impress him.

It illustrates beautufully how Freddie had hoardes of liggers and hangers-on who were "in it" simply for the status it gave them and the perks that fell off of the back of an association with Freddie.

Poor bloke never stood a chance.

Cue the Mary haters to ring in, saying the video was doctored.  I agree, these videos should never have been made public.  They were leaked by "friends" of his who obviously didn't respect his wishes to be a private man.

Hmmm.  A quick check on Youtube and I can't turn up the one you're talking about.  There are a lot of genuine Freddie videos on there though.

I'm neither here nor their on the morals of seeing these private videos.  Who gives a shit, the guy is dead.

However, I have to say that I find the videos utterly boring.  They're just as compelling as anyone else's home videos.  I've had to make DVDs for a few people in my time (people who don't know how to get their 'precious' VHS memories onto DVD themselves) and I've seen a lot of old tapes just like this.  The fact that it's Freddie Mercury probably only matters to his cultists.
