Well, I think Queen have a very bad lucky when they want to film a concert, we have:

1974 Rainbow: Nothing wrong with this, amazing cameras and performance
1975 Hammersmith: Good quality but very nervous band and Freddie and Brian feel very bad for the fever they had.
1976 Hyde Park: Good quality but very nervous band again, plus police stop the show.
1977 Earl's Court: Problems with the microphone, it can be remastered i think
1977 Houston: Good Show, good quality
1979Live Killers: A true mystery with Paris and Munich, i don't know if they have the concerts and what is the quality
1979 Budokan: Very good quality, well filmed, but Freddie's voice is in very bad state
1979 Hammersmith Odeon: Amazing performance, super show, great quality... but some idiot stolen the master.
1981 Morumbi Stadium: World record attendance at time, fantastic audience and fantastic performance, but horrible quality of the cameras, plus this concerts was plannig in Maracana, but somebody don't let Queen do the gig there. (I think they must film this in HD, not Montreal)
1981 Montreal: This is what happens when Freddie and the band go angry, very bad feeling in the air. amazing quality of the film, but a super concert.
1982 MK Bowl: Great performace, but a slighty bad quality in the cameras, i think is very enjoyable.
1982 Seibu Lions Stadium: Great concert, great scenario but again in Japan Freddie's voice need a rest
1985: Rock In Rio: Super concerts, great audience, but again in Brazil horrible cameras and very static.
1985: Sydney: Amazing performance of the band, very good light towers, but horrible crowd, maybe this never see the day of light (only radio ga ga and snippets)
1985 Joyogi National Stadium: Great concert with great quality, only the final mix of the sound fail, something very good can be do with this in the future
1986 Wembley: Nothing wrong with this, maybe cameras could be 35mm, and Freddie's voice not in top form, but fantastic show
1986 Budapest: Best Film Of a Queen concert: Amazing Quality of the film and the performace, first stadium concert in Eastern Europe. Perfect
1986 Knebworth: -Insert your conspiracy theory here- But very good performance and maybe the best crowd in a Queen concert.

This is, what do you think?

PD: Again, sorry if my english is not the best

Right.

You mean "overdubbed" ?

1979 Hammersmith Odeon: Amazing performance, super show, great quality... but some idiot stolen the master.
No. It was the MULTITRACK master, which was LOST (lost doesn't automatically mean stolen). They still have the full video master with the audio which was recorded by the video cameras

If you want to see/hear Brian & Freddie angry, get Caracas 81 :)

What do you mean with "a slightly bad quality in the cameras" ? I'm not sure what you mean
The FACT is that AT LEAST the second half of the concert WAS PROFESSIONALLY filmed by the DoRo crew, at least from ISTWWC till GSTQ. I have no idea why they don't want to release it and it's extremely strange that they keep telling that bullshit..

Is true! I forgot Caracas 81 ha ha.Very bad filming, and very dark, but is funny see Freddie! (Fuckin' Noise!!!), and Argentina 81, another great show, i wonder if QP have the master of this.
About MK Bowl is one of my favourites, but something wrong happens when the cameras focus the lights, i don't know exactly what, is a strange aura or ray color remaining in the screen

i didn't know they still have the video master of Hammy 79, this is fantastic!!

No, i think they have at least half show, if you see Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert Disk 2 you can see snippets from hammet to fall, the same footage of the big screen but with pro-quality. And God Save the Queen with the same quality circulate in the web.

Actually, in 2006 Brian May said: It's a shame, we don't film knebworth, somebody forget to push one button and now the footage is lost in the''ether''

Later Greg Brooks said: we only have a part of the show, nothing complete

Later Greg Brooks said: we only have the footage of the big screen in pro-quality, but is boring (Boring??? For God's Sake!)

Or they discovered new fragments of the footage every year or something strange happens here (Maybe it's only marketing, maybe not)

Is This The World We Created is on Magic Years and Champions of the World.
Part of the rock'n'roll medley was shared by Miklos, comes from a rare "promo cut" of Magic Years (just 3 seconds long)
Parts of Hammer to fall were shown in many DoRo videos.
A few seconds of Crazy Little Thing Called Love were also in some documentary, I think
Almost complete Radio Ga Ga was shown in many documentaries, and Rare Live
Different parts of We Are The Champions were in many different documentaries and Rare Live.
Different parts of God Save The Queen were in many different docus

I read somewhere that Queen don't have the distribution rights for Hammy '79... is this right? Or could it be purchased as with the Montreal concert was

Plus+
Under pressure (few parts used in videos)
backstage footage (lots of it, wembley DVD knebworth doc ETC.)
a bit of one vision (the start where they go onstage)

Greg said there is only parts used in documentaries, and the big screen film "that we all have".
He didn't say pro quality. In other words queen productions have what we have, and I believe him.

DoRo on the other hand have at least parts of 5 songs from knebworth filmed, probably
all labelled “magic tour” and lumped togeth with the rest of the stuff they filmed.
If they put everything they have from knebworth together on a DVD and package it with a CD of the concert it would sell.

"If you see Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert Disk 2 you can see snippets from hammet to fall, the same footage of the big screen but with pro-quality."

I'm not sure if this is the same thing that was discussed in one of the Knebworth threads, but someone compared frames from during God Save the Queen, and it wasn't the same camera angle.  Pretty close, but no cigar.  If Knebworth video exists (outside of the short bits of film that DoRo have) then it hasn't been seen.  Every time I see a screenshot comparison on this forum, it's 'similar' but not identical.  There are differences in perspective that suggest two camera crews working from similar positions.

I'd be interested in seeing another comparison, of course.

This post was created to talk to all Queen films, but obiously the direction of the conversation goes to the same (that park with a strange name) and for me is still a mystery, when QP say they don't have the show i think is a marketing movement, and they are doing it very well, showing snippets from time to time.I'm sure at 100% with the hammer to fall snippets of the Freddie Tribute (Disk 2). They are shown in the menu when you can choose to view videos of Freddie's life, compare with the youtube footage of the screen and tell me.

And yes, i like to see the proper realease of Hammy 79

Here we go again ... The fact that the video is identical to the one which I posted on YouTube is just a pure coincidence, of course :-(

The real question remains though: when will we finally see something new on DVD/Blu-Ray?

What is wrong with QP?

Cause QP are on HEAVY DRUGS!

Bob and Pittrek could do a better job in their SLEEP than what I've been seeing lately with QP!
I always knew I was a star And now, the rest of the world seems to agree with me-Freddie Mercury
