They could bettrer show "Freddie Loves"doc in Iran. That will raise a lot more eyebrows than the actual concert
You made us laugh, you made us cry, you made us feel like we could fly!
Do the Persians recognize Freddie as one of their own?

Have the ayatollahs and mullahs taken a stand on this Zoroastrian Parsi icon?

It's great for the people and fans living there - I know there are quite a lot.
So I hope this really happens.

Never think that the people of a country are identic with their government....
well, I'm living in Iran. actually it was a new satellite TV that aired wembley concert and the doc "Queen Phenomena" (a weak choice to broadcast 'cause that doc would works more for queen fanatics who know the queen stuff chronically and not a good introduction of queen for the audience who has no familiarity with what queen was at all).
Generally, Queen is not popular in Iran. the name is heard or in some cases loved by some people , particularly teenagers/ students/ young adults, who are eager to listen to western music. i guess that concert was widely watched by most of the audience of that channel at the time and multiple friends have phoned to inform me that queen was on the iranian satellite tv and asking my opinion on that. however, years of being a hugely dedicated fan of Queen and even enthusiastically introducing Queen to some eager mates, i still have not met a guy who really have a deep comprehension and curiosity over queen music like myself though there are lots of freddie lovers here among the rock listeners.

p.s: no ayatolla or mullah eber mentioned freddie or anyone; they dont even know about western music at all. it's the devil's sound! in their perspectives.
I'm just livin' on my own...
