Freddie on Superman with bananas. Can anybody completely figure it out?

It seems I'll completely get mad if I won't know what from the concert this footage is! 

Does anybody have any ideas?

I've also found a bit from this footage in the beginning of Rare Live while 'I Want It All' plays and it's in better quality and is on full screen than on 'The Champions'.

That's actually from a Freddie solo performance in 1979. He played two songs (CLTCL and BoRhap) with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

It's not from his solo performance because he didn't go to the stage on Superman at it.

He was going to the stage on Superman only during We Will Rock You.

In my opinion it's actually from Tokyo concert on April 24, 1979.

Indeed, it's probably not what I said. I thought it was, because of his outfit. I have found a few videos of this moment but can't place it.

You are right Missman, it does come from Tokyo on the 24th.

GT - are you "allowed" to tell us if more of this concert is filmed ?

I wish to apologize in the strongest possible terms for giving my opinion as fact where I was incredibly wrong in my assumption that it was from the solo performance of Freddie in 1979.

As I can recall Queen played Tokyo three consecutive nights. So there also could be some footage of the first night (23/04/1979) aswell. Of course a clever move by Greg, at the time, to say there was footage in the QP-vault from Japan 1979.

When you say the 24th, do you mean the 25th?...the one were several songs were filmed?

He said 24th which means the 24th, not the 25th.  There's always more in existence than you realize.
