If released this live version of the song (the concert was the day after Christmas), rest assured that it would succeed.

I'm all for getting Queen to #1! Manufactured teen pop has dominated this generation for far too long! It would be cool to get a Queen song to the top on 20th November and get it to reign six weeks so it gets Xmas no.1! The twentieth is the nearest Sunday this year to the anniversary of Freddie's death (R.I.P. Mr. Bad Guy) and so there could be a Queen song at the top to mark the 20th anniversary (v. sobering fact, god bless him). So about we stop talking, and get MOVING! Here are my suggestions for a probable number-one (and I promise there'll be a lot!)
Just so you know in you case didn't, a 'b/w' indicates the proposed #1 is a double A-side
1. Mad the Swine b/w Lost Opportunity (NB: The proper version of Mad, with no intro fade, because the fade cuts off 'Been here before')
2. Goin' Back with Money Can't Buy Happiness as a B-side
3. Long Away with the At the Beeb version of Doin' Alright as a B-side (NB: Long Away would be an edit trimmed down from 4:00 to 3:33, cutting off the weird 'take my breath away' echo section)
4.Your Kind of Lover (originial 1985 version, not '92 remix) with New York as a B-side
5. Headlong, with the "bass & drum machine demo" as a B-side
6. Now I'm Here with Blurred Vision as a B-side
7. Hammer to Fall reissued - i.e. it has Tear It Up on the B like it did on the 7" in '84
8. '39 with the Queen one instrumental version of Seven Seas on the B-side
9. One Rainy Wish b/w Just One Life - JOL is a slight remix which incoorpates Space
10. A trimmed-down single mix of Let Me Out with The Guv'nor as a B-side
11. See What A Fool I've Been b/w an acid house-type remix of the main song
12. Tie Your Mother Down with Teo Torriatte as a B-side (Note: They both use their single edits and cut off the instrumental that both opens and closes ADATR)
I know suggestions 2 and 4 are Freddie solo material, and suggestions 9 and 10 are Brian solo material, but the what the hell? Just get one of the twelve to #1 from late November 2011 to New Year's Day 2012 and I bet all us Queenzoners with shriek with joy and do the conga! Give your opinions on what one you would want to shoot up to the top of the charts this Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!

How about letting the singles chart sort itself out for a change?
Deciding number ones by committee is fucking cringeworthy.

Guys, there are already several groups out there campaigning for a Queen No.1. If they all pick different songs, then we're less likely to get a high chart position.
The best initiative I've heard is to try and get The Show Must Go On to No.1 in the week of Freddie's death anniversary. If we all pull together and buy the same song at the same time, we can really make an impact.
This year at Christmas there were so many groups trying to get different songs to number one, it was chaos and X Factor just went straight in at number 1.

Worst thread ever. I have more chance of winning the lottery at 14 million to one than Queen ever hitting number one ever again.

That comment might just come back and bite you on the arse lol
Then again, if Queen do hit number one then it would have meant you've won the lottery, so best of luck. As long as you give us a share....
