It's like this - whenever I see Olivia Wilde wearing something shiny, I get a massive boner that makes me seriously wonder if someone has been slipping me some kind of enlargement pills in my sleep. I'm not going to go to a cinema and embarrass myself in that way. I'll just wait till it's on DVD, then I can enjoy it in privacy.

Saw the movie. It is a 2 and a half hours slideshow of advanced computer grahpics. I had to keep myself from falling asleep in the cinema.

call me an old cynic but i shall wait until this time next year when it will be released as a double disc DVD with the original version for about £10 on Amazon...

I say again; I'm not to be held responsible for what I might get up to in a dark theatre if I see something like this.
It can wait for DVD. Sounds like a lame movie anyway. The CG Jeff Bridges head looks hokey and it doesn't look as light-hearted as the original.

although the second & third act suffer from lengthy monologues and exposition, and justify waiting for dvd, imho it was still better than -inception- ... I may be the only person to think -inception- was nearly artless and profoundly bland, but sometimes gorgeous especially the final shot of the spinning top. yet impossible to forget that in TRON, just before Flynn is scanned into the game grid the word "matrix" is all over the screen. now i'm not sayin the Wachkowski brothers are plagiarists, sometimes there's a fine line between homage & plagiarism, but the notion of a free system (read: Linux vs Apple vs Microsofty) reappears in TRON:LEGACY with the Quorra character. is that actually singular for 'quorum' ? interesting isomorph thread. maybe some latin enthusiasts can confirm. TL may be flawed but it's still more authentic than recent flicks that seem to borrow wholesale from the original TRON, that a fight in the virtual world determines the outcome of a real-world struggle.
