I am problems with this upgrade because; Why is 98mn instead of 103mn? (speed problem??on which version) and sometimes the spectrum looks lossy and imho (I am not an expert) the old version is not inferior like in Somebody to love ,I hear Freddie better in the old version:

These tapes are many generations from the masters, and they're transferred with different gear (tape deck, cables, EQ settings, etc). Ghostofasmile's version has much less tape hiss and more focus on the mid range, while the old copy has a more high end, which results in more tape hiss. As for the time difference, it's just because Ghost's copy runs faster. The speed can always fluctuate on old tapes. So a speed-corrected version of Ghost's copy would be the best version so far, I think. But these things all come down to opinion..

Honestly, I'm not convinced the version that was shared last weeks is a lower gen that the other. By looking at the spectrum, it has obviously been hiss reduced and it runs too fast. I personaly prefer the old version that sounds much more natural, even if there's much more tape hiss (which is not so disturbing...).
