It was never released as producers felt it was too groovy. However, bootlegs are floating around, you wanna get one.

"Man In the Shadows" is okay and all, but "Hiding In Public" was much more artistically satisfying. John kind of went for broke on that album and, though it may not be the most palatable thing ever, it's merits certainly can't be denied.

He did three solo albums, and some other solo work (like the soundtrack for Biggles, but that sucked). Especially Man in the Shadows is a work of art.

You can all wait until the cows come home, John will never get permission to release the Michael Jackson tracks.

I've never heard of this before. Where can I find some more info?
Has anybody a recording of John's 5+ minutes bass solo? I think he played it somewhere in the early 70's when something went wrong during Brian's guitar solo. A shame it isn't on the album.

The track 'Twas a Very Long Skitrip' on his last album is a 6 minute reverse bass solo. Check it out, very interesting.
