Caught Gary Mullens 'One Night Of Queen' show last night at the Sunderland Empire, (first night of their 2011 tour) and i have to say it was way beyond my expectations, a positive 10 outta 10. High octane performance with Gary getting every note spot on, a great way to bask in Queen's glory.
Catch it if you can!

Are they still doing the same setlist as last year?

Mullen and the works put on one of the best tributes.

Do you remember What the setlist was, they take ages to update it, so i'm assuming thes the same as last year.

Can't say, it's the first time i've seen them. But it included ;  Fat Bott Girls, too Much Love Will Kill You, Show Must Go On,  among the more rare one's from live sets

Reply: It sounds like it's the same setlist as last year, and the year before, come to think of it. Does anybody know if they ever do different ones? I've seen pictures where it looks like Gary Mullen is wearing outfits based other tours, but i've never heard of a different setlist.

They seen to add and remove about 2 songs midway through each year, so slowly the setlist changes, the reason they don’t change things too much is probably due to the royalties they have to pay. I really wouldn’t recommend seeing them too often; it’s well polished but very samey.

In 2005 there set was this:

(ACT ONE)
FLASH
TIE YOUR MOTHER DOWN
SEVEN SEAS OF RHYE
TEAR IT UP
DRAGON ATTACK
A KIND OF MAGIC
UNDER PRESSURE
ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST
I WANT TO BREAK FREE
NOW I'M HERE
DON'T STOP ME NOW

(ACT TWO)
ONE VISION
KEEP YOURSELF ALIVE
DRUM SOLO
LIAR
STONE COLD CRAZY
LOVE OF MY LIFE
RADIO GA GA
BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY
CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE
(ENCORE)
SHEAR HEART ATTACK
WE WILL ROCK YOU
FRIENDS WILL BE FRIENDS
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS
GOD SAVE THE QUEEN

Somebody should make them a really good setlist and send it to them.

So in 6 years they removed Flash, Dragon attack, Liar, Friends will be friends and Stone cold crazy

and added Somebody to Love, Killer Queen, Barcelona, Too Much Love Will Kill You, Save me and The Show Must go On.

It's no money wasted for you is it, you're highly unlikely to go and see his show, so you're not the audience.

as for wasting time, you have a lot of time to waste, as shown by coming to this bored and posting in a thread about something you don't like, to tell people who don't care, that you don't like it.

In other words, you won’t waste money one him, and those who see him like him, so no one is wasting any money on anything. as for wasting time, that's you fault for posting in the thread.

Couldn't have said it better myself, emrabt.  Mullen is not pathetic, he gives a great show and gets better and better each time I see him.  Yes, a little bit "samey", but the vocal does become more improved with each show, and he's a great guy too. Gary may not be Freddie Mercury, but he is an excellent tribute to him. Definitely not shite, as you put it, mr collins.

I agree with you, Scollins. A total waste of time, money and space.

What a pointless statement.   It's clearly not a waste if you enjoy it.  And clearly, people do enjoy it, so they're not really wasting their money or time.  Those who don't like it, and who aren't going, haven't wasted money or time either.  I know that's pretty much what emrabt has said, but it's the bottom line - it is so spot on that any argument against is pointless.

Then fucking stay home.

I saw them a few years ago and they, particularly Gary, were great.

They do need to mix up the setlist.  In the U.S. they need to focus more on the '70s material.
