I had actually written an entire page full of myself giving my two cents on each track. I will not run through that again. So the main premise of this thread, is to hear everybodies opinion on this gloomy period for Queen. The bulk of material on Mr. Bad guy [if it were in proper hands] could have turned out less grainy and mundane. Even Brian may on his soapbox expressed bewilderness at why Freddie didn't just have him come in and do the songs for him. It still puzzles me why Freddie had some other guitarists [who i'm unclear on his name] play the same scales as Brian. Well I personally believe all four vikings could have made a Queen release out of Mr. bad guy. Well i'll give more of my brain, once this post get's some responses.

Everything I had written before, somehow managed to vanish out of thin air.

All I can guess is one plain and simple word:     EGO.

Sad, because the MIH and LMLTNT extended versions are beautiful, SBH&C is terrific, MMP and 'More To Life'.....how much more Queen-ish could Freddie be?  Throw in a Brian May 'Let Me Out' and a Roger 'Man on Fire'  with 'It's An Illusion' (Freddie on LVs)..........what a terrific Queen album we would have ended up with.

SOLO, as in going it alone. This is just pure egotistic ramblings on Brians part, "I could have done it

better.", yes Brian, maybe you could (and, in fact did), but then it wouldn't be a Freddie solo album.
Having a break from the group you're in, in order to make a solo album, but then getting members of that group to play on your album defeats the purpose of a solo album.

Well, Brian's guitar on SBHC was damn good (Solo Collection).

Just for argument sake:  'why did Freddie call Brian in for this if it was a 'solo' effort?  Same with John?
