As requested by Kef, here is the best known copy of the first night in Brussels on the Hot Space tour - a merge of two sources.
* AUD > Sanyo TRC-2300 > Master Cassette > WAV (GoldWave pitch/speed correction) > FLAC level 8

** AUD > ? > CDR (x) > WAV (GoldWave pitch/speed correction) > FLAC level 8
Many thanks to Olivier Feltgen for parting with his masters [of source 1] to have them transferred, and to Tilomagnet for doing said transfer.

Either the taper briefly pressed stop for some reason and then resumed recording, or there was something wrong with the master tape.
So yes, the problem is normal. Anything flaw in a 30-year-old tape is normal, as they don't always store well. It's pretty remarkable that this one person provided us with 7 new Queen tapes, most of which were upgrades in some way... and they all survived the test of time remarkably well.
