Although the quality is bad, I love this version--probably the best version of the song live!

No, I don't like it.

I prefer this one:

I think it's even better than the studio version.

It's good, but I prefer the falsetto versions. The song doesn't sound right if you don't use falsetto.

The song works fine without falsetto, it just sounds better with it. What makes the Summer of 1976 versions so special are that it is one of the only times he sang that much falsetto in a song live.

I dunno. Having the song without falsetto is like missing a piece of something.

That's Roger falling from his seat in the drum kit.
Freddie might have beaten him up by the end of the show.

What I like about the version I posted is the no-falsetto. I got goosebumps the first time I listened to it.
"Your" version is a bit out of tune, and that's why I don't like it.

Out of tune my ass. That version I posted is the closest you are going to get to the studio version.

If he did flub a note, then who gives a shit? He sounds GOOD, that's what matters.

I don't give a shit. He was the best singer ever, so he could flub as many notes as he wished. :)

Anyway, I listened to that version more thoroughly. He does in fact miss a couple of notes at the beginning but you're right, it's pretty close to perfection.

Oh, I thought you said he was out of tune the whole time! I'm like "WTF?" hahaha.

Yeah, there's a few iffy notes (the bad quality doesn't help matters either), but then again Freddie can make up all the notes he wants!
